Garrett's Games and Geekiness 87

Erik Oliver makes it back from Essen for a discussion of many of the games he played and brought back.  I DO use the word "bitch" in here to refer to Erik, as he came up with the moniker, but be forewarned.

We talk about
Agricola
Race for the Galaxy
Darjeeling
Chang Cheng
Eketorp
Cuba
Hamburgum

Then Shelley joins in to discuss Ziegen Kriegen and more Eketorp.

Glad you enjoyed it, CeCe.  Erik's a great person to have along for the podcast and I'm sure I'll get him on the mic again.  Unfortunately he's extremely busy, so it doesn't happen very often.

Hi Doug, I was listening to your episode with the designer of balloon cup and an idea for a show came to mind. Since you and your wife both are teachers, and seemingly patient and experienced gamers, i suspect you are better than average at teaching games. Would you consider doing a show that includes audio of you and your wife teaching a game to some new gamers. I imagine it will take a fair amount of editing, but i'd like to hear how you and Shelly teach a game, and then i'd also like to hear your commentary on yourselves. Maybe your game gineau pigs could comment a bit too. Thanks for entertaining this idea. I look forward to all your episodes.

Great idea, CeCe.  I'll see if I can rig something for one of our next Game Nights.  Might be awkward, but it also might be worth a try.
