Garrett's Games and Geekiness 96

Shelley and I journey up to the snow, enjoy a bottle of wine, and discuss the two games that are available to the winners of our current contest - Amyitis from Ystari Games and El Principe from Z-Man.  We played Il Principe 2-player for the first time and enjoyed it, while the Amyitis discussion happened a couple of days after our first playing, which was a 3-player game with Greg Parker.  Enjoy!

The winner of the game contest is based on knowledge of music - man, that's bogus. The first thing I'm going to do after sending this message is unsubscribe from Garrett's Games and Geekiness.

Hope that's tongue-in-cheek, Ken.  I'd hate that the clash of my two hobbies would scare someone off.

I hope so too Doug. It's unfortunate that since you concentrate so much on the first part of your podcast name that people often forget the second part.

I can no longer get the podcast working in itunes, even after resubscribing. I can't even download the latest mp3 file from the site, it comes up as an unreadable file. Whar's going on?

    Trevor,

Not sure what problem you're experiencing, but my iTunes subscription seems to be working fine.  I've set up a discussion on my Guild on Boardgamegeek (Guild #350 if you aren't a member) and people who know more than I do have chimed in.  Your iTunes subscription (AT THE NEW SITE) should work fine.  Go to "Podcasts RSS 2.0" and that should take you to a page where you can subscribe in iTunes (depending upon your browser type - it's different for each).

As for the download, someone mentioned yesterday that even though the file is an MP3, it's downloading with a .mov suffix.  Just change the suffix and you should be fine.

I can't find episode 96 on iTunes. . . And I hate to admit that I'm pretty addicted to this show. Something about teaching English, maybe.

    James,

I'm still working on the iTunes situation.  Subscribe through the site or download it from the site at this time.

Quick second comment: iTunes seems to want to search for the .mac address and now won't update any of the older shows. Which bites.

I've sent them messages, but they don't respond...so I'll be trying again...
